Are you eligible for free travel from 29 July?

From 29 July 2024, you’ll qualify for the Free Travel Scheme, if you are aged over 17 and under 66 and:

• Have never been able to drive due to a disability
• Have been medically certified as ‘not fit to drive’ for at least 12 months.

This means you’ll be able to travel for free on public transport including:

• Iarnród Éireann trains
• Bus Éireann buses
• Dublin Bus
• DART
• Luas tram services
• and more
